I know this is quite a strange question to ask but it is a genuine question to ask. I found out that when things happen or when things are not going according to how we have planned them, we tend to blame it on God, devil or some forces in the spiritual world. I have come to find out that in most cases this is not true, but rather it’s the people “over-spiritualizing”.

We dwell so much on the spiritual realm that we often forget that there is a physical world that has its own laws, that must be respected and obeyed. Just as we have in the spiritual realm laws such as law of faith, sowing and reaping, prayer, there are things that must be done in the physical to make somethings happen. You can imagine someone who sits at home, praying and confessing, expecting wealth to come, while there are special instances, but the normal way is to go out and act out his faith, believing God to back him up in his wealth creation. When he prays and nothing happens, he blames God, or the devil or starts binding the spirit of poverty.

There are laws and processes God put in place to govern this world such as the law of gravity, cause and effect, aerodynamics etc. I have seen many folks that disregards the importance of education, they make references to the high school dropouts that made millions. While there are special cases of some people, I ask them of the percentage of college dropouts that made millions compared to the percentage of graduates that made millions. Never underestimate the value of knowledge (education). Do you know the answer to some people’s prayer is simply to complete a course or a degree and it will liberate them from poverty? (Proverbs 24:3-4, 2Peter 1:5), there is no gift of knowledge, it has to be acquired. To some, it is to acquire a new skill, volunteer at an organization, train under a professional etc, the truth is that you have to work to make enough money(Prov 6:9-11, 1 Thess 4:11-12, 2 Thess 3:10). God promised to bless and multiply the WORK of your hands (Deut 28:12), to prosper you in all you DO (Ps 1:3) but what is He going to prosper or bless or multiply when there is nothing you are doing. Do not “over-spiritualize”, work is good. If you are looking to go into a business but for some reason you just cannot seem to start and you have been praying, just start, no matter how small, God has promised you he will bless, prosper and increase it (Deut 8:18, 28:12, Ps 1:3, Zech 4:10). To some, it is to break some bad habits that will in the long run harm their health, to it some is to build a reputable character and virtues (2 Peter 1:5-7). To some, it is to seek professional advice from professionals/experts in the field.

God created this earth and put man in charge, do you know neither God nor devil have authority on this earth? They both need man to carry out their purpose/will on this earth. So stop blaming God or devil and take responsibility. Take action, walk by faith in God and then you will bring to pass His will and promises. Remember, things will remain the same until you have taken actions. Faith without corresponding works is dead (James 2:26).

Don’t “over-spiritualize” things, rather make the physical laws work in your favour by applying them in faith.
